About me

A young man with curly hair stands in front of lush green foliage, wearing a light green patterned shirt. He has a slight smile and is looking directly at the camera.

Who am I?

HI, I am Elias Behrens. I write about the psychology of humans and personal development. I love to research tools, tips, and tricks that can help us in our everyday lives. I am fascinated by the thought of growing and learning every day and trying to be my best version. I would love to share all the knowledge I have gathered and all the new things I have learned here with you. I sincerely hope that one of my posts can help you on your journey to become whoever you desire to be.

My Journey

Growing up

This picture below is an excellent example of how I grew up. We were living in a small village in Switzerland near Basel. As you can see in the picture early on, I was interested in many things, even the floor😉. I explored many things throughout my childhood and early adolescence: I played soccer and later switched to kickboxing and yoga. I liked mathematics and was good at it, so I chose mathematics and physics as my main topics as I continued school. I loved being outside and spending time with my friends. I am thankful for the first years of my life in the countryside. I was generally a happy kid. However, I also had some challenges along the way. First, I was rather shy and struggled with this all my childhood. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Then, like many kids who are exploring, I had my first drug experience early on. The first time I was drunk was at 14, and my first Joint I smoked at 15. In my late teen years, I used to smoke a lot with my friends, and when I was at home, I would play video games. I still was content with my life.

The Change

For the following time, I was often on the internet and YouTube looking for answers to my questions. I found many people/channels/podcasts who would immensely help me on my journey forward. Dandapani, Tony Robbins, the London Real Podcasts, and Dylan Werner, to name a few. I started meditating, doing Yoga, and spending less time in front of my computer. I still smoked pot from time to time and I still went out partying, but it was different. There was a new part in my life, one that did not exist before. Until then, I thought I would study and later become a coder. However, I was suddenly not so sure about this anymore. I learned about a powerful exercise I can recommend to anyone who does not know what he wants to do: For about three months, I sat down every day for about 3 to 10 minutes and asked myself questions. These questions helped me to get to know myself, who I am, and what I want. The same questions you would ask a stranger to get to know him better. Through this, I got to know myself better and realized that I love working and being with people. Inspired by all the leaders I found online, I thought that nothing would make me more fulfilled than to be able to help others with their struggles in life. Then, I decided that that would be the mission for my time here on our wonderful planet Earth.

Learning

From then on, I started learning and trying out many things. Before I could show others a path to success and happiness, I first needed to find my own one. I started reading books, bought online courses, and watched many more podcasts. I absorbed every tip, trick, and knowledge I could acquire like a sponge. Along the way, I had many significant learnings, and I realized a lot and made many changes to my life. I became vegan, tried to stop watching porn and quit smoking weed. I fell in love with growing and learning, which is still dominant in my life today.
The next event that shaped my life was when a wonderful young woman who later became my girlfriend came into my life. With her at my side, everything changed. For the first time, I felt that I was not alone on my mission, and I felt that we could be way stronger than just me. We finished school together and went to a Tony Robbins event live in Florida. Then we traveled the world. It was great, we were great. However, at some point, I realized I was moving away from my goals and started focusing more on my vision. I felt like it was time to move on and put all that I have learned into practice:

Online Business

My first move was to start my studies. I am now studying psychology at the University of Basel. Besides that I knew that I wanted to start something—anything money or business-related. I only did not know what. Until a friend of mine offered me to join a Network Marketing company. So, I started my journey in online business. I learned many valuable skills and lessons along the way. I sadly did not make much money. Then, I heard about blogging and thought this might be a better way for me to move forward. I decided it was time to move on. I quit the network and started setting up my new blog, which I love doing now.
